This article assumes you know how to open and use the fix‑up panel. If you’re new to fix‑ups, please read Using the fix‑up tool in Artworker.
In the Dimensions section of the fix‑up tool, switch on the Generate bleed toggle to activate the bleed options.
In the Generate bleed section, enter the bleed you want to add.
You can choose to:
Apply the same bleed to all sides
Or enter different bleed values for each side if your artwork requires it
If the job includes a bleed preflight check, Artworker will pre populate the bleed value for you based on your preflight settings.
Artworker offers several ways to create bleed. Choose the one that best suits your artwork.
Artworker analyses the page edge and extends artwork intelligently.
Edge pixels are stretched outward to create a smooth extension.
The artwork edge is mirrored to form the bleed. Good for photography and repeating patterns.
A thin strip of edge pixels is repeated to create a consistent block of bleed.
Bleed is currently generated in CMYK.
If your artwork is RGB, the added bleed may appear slightly darker due to colour space conversion.
We plan to support RGB bleed generation in the future, helping the generated bleed match RGB artwork more closely.
