Click the search bar at the top of the dashboard (labelled “Find jobs, contacts or companies”).
Type the name or email of the contact you wish to delete (e.g. “John Doe”).
In the dropdown under Contacts, click the contact’s name to open their contact panel.
Once the contact appears in the search results, the contact panel will slide in from the right.
You’ll see the contact’s details (name, email, company) and a list of their associated jobs.
In the top-right corner of the contact panel, click the ⋯ (ellipsis) button.
From the dropdown menu, choose Delete Contact.
If the contact has no jobs associated: You’ll see a simple confirmation prompt asking if you’re sure you want to delete. Click Delete to confirm, and the contact will be removed immediately.
If the contact has jobs linked to them: A warning modal titled “Unable to delete contact” will appear. It informs you that you have one or more jobs associated with this contact and that you must first reassign or delete these jobs before the contact can be removed.
1. Reassign those jobs to another contact
- Under Company, select the same company (e.g. “Acme Inc”).
- Under Contact, choose a different contact to take ownership of these jobs.
- Click Assign X jobs to contact (where “X” is the number of jobs).
- Once all jobs are reassigned, retry Delete Contact from the ellipsis menu.
2. Delete the jobs entirely
- You must first navigate to each job (via the Kanban board or “Jobs” list).
- Click on the job card, then use its own “⋯” menu to delete the job.
- Repeat for each job associated with this contact.
- Once no jobs remain, return to the contact panel and select Delete Contact.
After all jobs have been reassigned or deleted:
1. Open the contact’s ⋯ menu and select Delete Contact again.
2. A final confirmation prompt will appear: click Delete to permanently remove the contact.
> Note: This action cannot be undone. Once a contact is deleted, their details and any previously reassigned jobs are permanently recorded under the new contact (if reassigned).
